Get the Memo?
Mind’s Eye Media & Meditation Outlet (MEMO), together with Daily Communications, is a media research, marketing, advertising, public relations, and content creation company. In other words, we’re a one-stop shop for ideas, research, communication, and creative expression.
Our aim is simple: to make a difference.
We specialize in thought-provoking publishing, mind-expanding content, creative communications, and research-driven ideas designed to inform, inspire, and connect.
So, What Is MEMO?
We’re all about writing things down.
MEMO began on Fiverr, the worldwide platform and creative hub for freelance services. From there, the idea grew into something much bigger: a creative outlet built around curiosity, research, writing, observation, and the belief that putting an idea on paper is often the first step toward bringing it to life.
Even though we use computers extensively to create, research, edit, and publish, we still love the simplicity of a piece of paper and a pen. Give us a document and a big red pen—or any color pen—and we’re happy.
There’s something organic about making a handwritten note, circling an idea, drawing an arrow, crossing something out, or scribbling a thought in the margin. It creates a tangible connection to the material. It slows the process down just enough to think, reconsider, and create.
Quite literally, we like to get our hands on our work.
Get the Memo?
“Get the Memo?” isn’t just a question. It represents our approach to research and application.
We gather information, identify patterns, make sense of research, and look for practical ways to apply what we learn. Research is only useful when it can help us understand something—and ideally, do something with that understanding.
MEMO keeps a curious eye on the collective consciousness, observing trends and conversations across pop culture, current events, entertainment, media, sports, and everyday life.
We’re naturally curious people. We ask questions. We take notes. We look for connections.
And sometimes, we just write something down because it sounds interesting.
Research Is an Art
All of our ideas start with pen on paper.
We believe research is an art form, and presentation matters. Information can be fascinating, but how that information is organized, interpreted, and communicated can make all the difference.
That’s where research, creativity, writing, marketing, media, and communications intersect.
Research is art. Presentation is key.
It sounds nice.
It’s also true.
Making a Difference
We’ve set out to make a difference—not by hiding under a rock, but by shining a light on what’s good.
There’s plenty of negativity in the world competing for our attention. We believe positive ideas, good deeds, creativity, innovation, and meaningful contributions deserve attention, too.
After all, good actions deserve good mention.
Put It on Paper
We’re strong proponents of penmanship, handwritten notes, doodles, diagrams, lists, sketches, and good old-fashioned brainstorming.
We encourage people to write stuff down.
Why?
Because writing transforms an abstract thought into something tangible. A thought becomes a sentence. A sentence becomes an idea. An idea can become a plan. And a plan can become something real.
Human beings have an incredible ability to visualize, imagine, draw, write, and communicate what exists inside the mind.
That’s the mind’s eye.
Everything starts with a vision.
The Power of the Mind’s Eye
There’s something almost magical about writing things down.
Every doodle, musing, emotion, thought, observation, and idea begins somewhere in the mind. From there, it can find expression in countless ways: through words, images, music, art, conversation, research, design, or action.
Handwriting can be particularly cathartic and artistic. When you write something down, you’re doing more than recording a thought—you’re giving that thought a physical form.
You’re challenging yourself to manifest a vision.
For many people, writing can also serve as a form of positive affirmation. Putting a goal, dream, or seemingly outlandish idea into words can make it feel more tangible and attainable.
Some people call that the Law of Attraction.
Whatever you call it, there’s value in giving your ideas a place to live.
Why “Memo”?
We call ourselves MEMO because our ideas start with the written word.
A memo is a note. A reminder. A message. A record of an idea.
It’s simple, practical, and purposeful.
And that’s what we want MEMO to be: a place where ideas are written down, explored, researched, developed, and shared.
We believe writing things down can encourage a productive thought process and help unlock the awesome power of the mind.
So grab a pen.
Write something down.
Ask a question.
Follow an idea.
Do some research.
Create something.

About “Gonzo” — Co-Founder & Creative Director
After studying communications, marketing, and journalism in college, “Gonzo” launched his career in the entertainment industry, specializing in research and marketing. His work took him through some of the biggest names in television and film, including United Paramount Network, Fox Broadcasting Company, Nielsen, Sony Pictures Television, and CBS Television.
His work included conducting focus-group research for new television pilots, managing national television ratings distribution, and measuring both national and local TV audiences. He also worked with the National Football League on television ratings and with Disney on streaming-audience measurement. At Paramount Pictures’ legendary Hollywood studio, he worked in worldwide technical operations, adding yet another dimension to his entertainment-industry experience.
After years of navigating an industry increasingly shaped by consolidation, restructuring, and layoffs, Gonzo decided—shortly before the global pandemic—to make a major career change and segue into the wonderful world of hospitality.
A genuine “people person,” he began working at the front desk of a small, charming, family-owned boutique hotel in Southern California and eventually became its Manager on Duty. There, he discovered a genuine love for hospitality—and for the people behind it. He became especially fond of the hotel’s owners: Eddie, a Cancerian masonry worker by trade; his wife, Coralie, a sweet-as-sugar Pisces innkeeper; and their son Victor, a business-savvy Capricorn who embraced technology and ran the hotel with a distinctly modern, high-tech approach.
Following the pandemic, Gonzo joined Manhattan-based Atelier Ace and the famously artsy, chic Ace Hotel Group, where vinyl record players, artistry, creative design, and a distinctive lifestyle-hospitality experience were part of the culture. He remained with the company until shortly before Ace Hotel was acquired by Tokyo-based Seibu Prince.
Today, Gonzo runs Memo Agency 8:18, where he works with clients around the world as a freelance research and marketing consultant, public relations professional, copywriter, and proofreader. Drawing on decades of experience across entertainment, media, hospitality, marketing, and communications, he helps businesses and organizations research, communicate, and present themselves to the world.
