MAKE A DIFFERENCE INITIATIVE / THE TIME IS NOW
It’s time to make a difference.
We challenge ourselves—and each other—to do, or at least attempt to do, great things. But what exactly defines a “great thing”?
Often, it’s something simple: something good, kind, thoughtful, or genuinely benevolent that we do for someone else.
When we step outside of ourselves, put ourselves in someone else’s shoes, and try to understand life from their perspective, something powerful can happen: empathy grows. We begin to see that while we may all face different challenges, we are never as different as we might think.
Sure, we all have problems. My problems may not be your problems, and your problems may not be mine. But let’s not be crabs in a barrel, pulling each other down. Instead, let’s help one another climb out of difficult situations, overcome nagging problems, and move forward.
Problems are meant to be solved. Challenges are meant to be overcome. And people are meant to help one another.
Make a Difference Every Day
Each day, we encourage you to keep a diary or journal and write down at least one thing you did for someone else—something nice, kind, thoughtful, or genuine.
It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be complicated. And it certainly doesn’t have to cost anything.
Just be naturally giving. Be thoughtful. Be compassionate. Most importantly, be you.
The Make a Difference Initiative
The Make a Difference Initiative is a challenge in kindness.
It costs nothing and requires absolutely no money. Kindness is a universal gift of compassion—one that anyone and everyone can afford to give.
So give it freely. Give it generously. Give it in spades!
Together, one small act of kindness at a time, we can make a difference.
Thanks for being part of the challenge.
